An internet Domain Name is your address on the World Wide Web.  It should be a unique name (www.mypractice.com) that reflects your identity today and in the future, for as long as your Practice remains in business. When you start up with an eVetsite web site we create in a temporary sub-domain name at our .evetsites.net address so you can go ahead and get started working on the site content. While it is easy for for anyone to "register" (or reserve) a domain name with one of the hundreds of registrars around the world, it can be a technical and time consuming challenge (see Option 2) to manage the technical settings, especially if your registrar offers little or no assistance or has specific rules about what you can and cannot do with your domain name.  We recommend you use Network Solutions, the oldest and the original domain name registrar.  Register.com is another good one. Go-Daddy is a very difficult registrar to work with and has many restricitons and add on charges.

eVetsite Systems can register and manage your domain name for you and make all the technical settings for your web site and eMail Services**,  which includes annual registration, domain privacy and private email accounts. Our fee for domain name registration and server management (DNS management) is $35 per year.

Additional Domain names without the email package are available for $12 per year.

At eVetsite Systems, we guarantee the privacy of your identity, your email address and the identity of visitors to your website. We also guarantee not to share/sell your identify, your email address lists or any information about the identity of anyone you correspond with by our email system. 

If you ever choose to cancel your service with us it remains your domain name and you can take it with to another service at anytime. 

If you Have A Domain Name Registered Now:

Please Note:  You will need access to your domain name at all times
as we may need to have you change the DNS settings for updates in the future!

Please contact us if you have the User Name and Password to access your domain name and we can help you with the technical settings. Under this option we can provide you with eMail services**.  We provide 20 email boxes with the basic service.  More email boxes are available if you need them.

Option 2:  Manage Your Own DNS Servers:  (no additional annual charge)
If you choose to manage your own DNS server setting at your present registrar you will need to set the DNS  "A"  record to point to our web host servers at :   174.137.35.14
The MX (eMail) record can be set for the eMail service from your registrar or any other service you choose**.

Please  let us know when this setting is ready and we will finish the domain name settings to your eVetsite files on our servers. Your new eVetsite web site will then appear on the internet within 24 hours (usually in less than 30 minutes).

Option 3:  Forwarding Your Domain Name: (no additional charge)
Domain name forwarding is an option offered by some registrars (usually for an additional fee). Please note that eMail services cannot reliable be forwarded from one registrar to another (this option should only be considered when you do not need email associated with your domain name). Some search engines may not catalog your site correctly as well.  Please contact your registrar for instructions on domain name forwarding.
