Linking Third Party Service Websites (pages) to your eVetsite
You can link your eVetsite to any external website to enhance your clients visit experience, add credibility (VIN, AAHA and AVMA logos, etc.), or provide extra services from other third party company's web pages.
For third party websites (or paid service web pages) eVetsite III now has a special feature for linking
in the navigation bar to external web pages. The purpose of the feature is make these websites (pages) appear more seamless or embedded in your own website and therefore part of your total offering of information and services to your clients.
HINT: Many third party companies often ask that you place their banners on your website in prominent positions. Unless your main website message is "Buy! Buy! Buy! or "Go here! Go here! Go here!... you should avoid this practice. Think of third party company banners like bumper stickers on your car; too many banners (too large or displayed high up on your Home Page) can degrade the appearance of your website just like bumper stickers on the hood of your car. A bumper sticker on your car windshield or a banner in your website page header can obstruct the drivers view and the true message of your website which should be about your practice, first and foremost.

Redirect Page Set Up:
To seamlessly link an external website (or services page) to your eVetsite, start by going to Edit Menu and adding a new page in the top level of your page navigation list. The new page will allow you to add the page Title and Display name for the website or service you wish to link to.
For page type select Redirect Page
, then click Save Menu Information
. You can now close out of the Edit Menu screen.
Go to the New Page you have created and click on Edit Special to modify the special settings for this page. Add the full URL (web address) of the external website. For an immediate "jump" to the external site, leave the timer field at "0" seconds. Hint: You can add also more text, artwork or logos to this page for your visitors to review before they jump to the new page. In this case, set the timer up to about 5 seconds to delay the jump while they read more about where they are going (and/or why).

Now you have a nice, clean, seamless link to the external web site that appears "built into" and a part of your own eVetsite:
