Display a Static Version of Your Website
You can display a "static" or "stand alone" copy of your website on a computer terminal for your clients to visit while in your reception area. Your clients can learn more about your practice, your services and staff while occupying your waiting room. After seeing your website at your practice, they will be more likely to visit your site again in the future. Any computer terminal will work for this display of your website "offline" as long as it has an internet browser and a copy of your website files.
You can make a copy of your website files with a simple free download program we use quite often in the office called WinHTT Website Copier. You can get a copy at this link:
http://httrack.com
Create a copy of your website into a folder on your computer with the WinHTT Website Copier software, and transfer it to a CD or an External USB Mini Drive. Take your CD or External USB Mini Drive and copy your website folder onto the hard drive of your "offline display" computer. Note the position of the file named "Index." When you click this file, it will launch a browser widow (MS Explorer) where the entire website can be viewed "offline" just as it appears on the internet (less any location maps or library content).
